Waterstone at Wellesley will welcome professor Curtis Martin for a talk entitled “American Whaling in the Age of Sail” on Tuesday, June 14 at 3:30 p.m. The talk is an introduction to all aspects of whaling and its importance throughout American history. Martin has been a resident of Wellesley since 1979 and became Professor Emeritus, Merrimack College, in 2012, after teaching at the university for nearly 40 years. This event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested at 781-235-1614. Waterstone is located at 27 Washington St., and includes 134 apartments for seniors 62 and older. It features independent and assisted living rental apartments.
