Professor Jill Silos-Rooney presents "Unconventional Conventions in American History and Today" at Waterstone

Waterstone at Wellesley will welcome professor, historical consultant and political analyst Jill Silos-Rooney for a presentation entitled “Unconventional Conventions in American History and Today” on Saturday, June 11 at 11 a.m. Silos-Rooney is a professor of history at MassBay Community College. A constitutional history scholar, she is currently completing the manuscript for her monograph, entitled "Everybody Get Together: The Politics of the Counterculture, 1964-1970," which focuses on First Amendment assembly rights, public festivity, and the 1960s counterculture. This manuscript is under contract for publication by the University of New Mexico Press as part of their "Countercultures" book series. This event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested at 781-235-1614. Waterstone is located at 27 Washington St., and includes 134 apartments for seniors 62 and older. It features independent and assisted living rental apartments.
