Pronto Set to Open During Week of Aug. 23
Papa Gino's take-out and delivery restaurant puts finishing touches on new location.

The sign went up this week on the Papa's Gino's Pronto take-out restaurant moving to Washington Street as work on the site is being completed for a planned opening during the week of Aug. 23, according to a company spokeswoman.
Marianne Sabella Dempsey said some people have already been hired, but that jobs are still available.
The Massachusetts-based pizza chain developed the Pronto model for smaller spaces in communities with a high demand for take-out, according to the company's website. There are Pronto restaurants already operating in Amherst and on Harvard Street in Brookline.

The Pronto menu is much more limited than the traditional Papa Gino's assortment of pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, salads and pastas. The menu here will mirror the one in Brookline which has just pizza, chicken wings and tenders, bread sticks and mozzarella sticks.
Parking for the site is in the back, with access through the parking lot behind where Whole Foods in now located.

Once the Papa Gino's Pronto opens, it will bring to seven the number of pizza places on Washington Street - Upper Crust, Nick's, Papa Gino's Pronto, Peter's Pizza, House of Pizza, North End Pizza and Mark's. Bertucci's and Papa Razzi also serve pizza, and Deluxe Pizza is right off Washington Street on Forest.
