Prosecutors: Teacher Touched Students During Dance Game
Matthew DiMuccio, a music teacher at a Whitman elementary school, is accused of touching students during an in-class dance game.

WHITMAN, MA — An elementary school teacher accused of inappropriately touching students during an in-class dance game was arraigned in Brockton District Court on Tuesday. Matthew DiMuccio, 32, of Wellesley, an elementary school teacher at the Duval School in Whitman, was charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. DiMuccio was placed on administrative leave on May 15 following the allegations.
According to prosecutors, Dimuccio, the school's music teacher, had students play a game where they would pose like clay models, the Patriot Ledger reported. Several female students told police Dimuccio would move the students arms and thighs, as part of the game. Prosecutors said one student said Dimuccio stared down her crotch and then licked his lips.
Dimuccio's attorney argued the game was an educational dance course that the school Whitman Public School system paid for. He told reporters Dimuccio didn't overstep any boundaries. His father, Kenneth, told the court the dance came straight from a text book, which was provided as evidence, WHDH News reported.
