Are Wellesley Square and Linden Square Moving in the Right Directions?

In a June 14 “” article, we mentioned that , a 20-year fixture (pardon the pun) of Wellesley Square, would be moving to Linden Square.

Neena’s joined a long list of businesses that have vacated Wellesley Square over the course of the past two years. left last winter after 15 years, closed its doors last March, and shoe store walked away, just to name a few.

Meanwhile, Linden Square is thriving. With a brand new recently completed, and the announcement of a Pinkberry frozen yogurt shop to open in the area, it seems the only problem at this square is filled up parking lots and large crowds of consumers.

It’s safe to say that one square is doing better than the other...or is it? Wellesley Square is still home to local favorites cheese shop, and recently J.P. Licks.
