Question of the Day: How Many Restaurants is Too Many?

At a late February meeting of the Board of Selectmen, proprietors of a new J.P. Licks ice cream shop requested a common victualler’s license to operate in Wellesley.
The board eventually gave the necessary approvals, and J.P. Licks has enjoyed several months of business in town. However, at the meeting, selectman Barbara Searle posed a question about in Wellesley.
Searle said it best in the meeting: “Is there a point where we’re going to start to say no to any additional food establishments?”
