WELLESLEY, MA — Each day, the Wellesley Police Department receives a dozen calls . Here is a sample of these types of calls they responded to between Aug. 2 and Aug. 8. The log includes a report of a Route 9 car chase resulting in a crash and the arrest of a Stoughton man. It also includes a report of a woman who had $14,000 worth of silverware go missing. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

7:15 p.m. - A Stoughton man was arrested after police said he led officers on a chase and crashed into another vehicle. Albert Myers, 29, was charged with failure to stop for a police officer, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia, fugitive from justice, four warrant charges and fugitive from justice.

Police patrolling Worcester Street queried Myer's vehicle, which was traveling in front of them, and discovered there were several warrants for his arrest, police said. Police tried to pull Myers over. He slowed down but didn't stop and then accelerated down Worcester Street, police said.

Myers then reversed direction and tried to squeeze through cars stopped at a traffic light, but crashed, police said. Police said Myers stopped but remained uncooperative while officers gave him directions. He was taken into custody and held without bail.

Aug. 7

4:38 p.m. - A Framingham woman was arrested after a crash in the area of Worcester Street and Lexington Road. Lucileia Simao, 35, faces a warrant charge out of Brighton District Court.

7:07 p.m. - A Waltham man was arrested after officers pulled him over for having a suspended license and found an open container of alcohol in the car, police said. Arthur Smith, 54, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

2:20 p.m. - A woman told police a set of sterling silver flatware and serving pieces worth $14,000 may have been stolen. She said it was also possible that they had been moved to a second home in Florida, but she wanted to have the case documented in case she couldn't find them.

Aug. 5

10:35 a.m. - Police were called the 90th block of Washington Street for a report of a past car break-in. Police said the car's front passenger window was smashed and a purse was taken.

Aug. 6

1:50 p.m. - Police were called to a business on Central Street for a report of larceny. A woman told police she used Shopify and her online account was hacked. She told police the direct deposit account was changed. Police said there were three deposits to the fraudlent account totaling over $1,000.

6:52 p.m. - Police were called to a business on Linden Street for a report of a purse that was stolen from the bathroom. The purse contained about $2,000 in cash and two passports. The report is incomplete at this time and no further information is available.

Aug. 7

7:11 p.m. - A man told police his identity was stolen. He said that on Aug. 3, he received a notification via LifeLock that there had been an inquiry on his credit score by Verizon Wireless in Georgia. He said he called Verizon, and the company told him to call the police. The man also said he received an email thanking him for his "visit to Sam's Club in Georgia.

2:45 p.m. - Police were called to a financial institution on Worcester Street for a report of someone exploiting an elderly relative to get money. The employee, who reported the concern, said there were several withdrawals in the past year from an account, and it appeared the account holder may have been influenced by a family member to make those withdrawals. Police said the elderly woman was somewhat confused, and another family member was contacted to pick her up. Officer Kane reported the incident to Elder at Risk.
