Career expert site Zippia released its list of happiest places in Massachusetts. Where did Wellesley rank?

WELLESLEY, MA - Wellesley residents may sometimes find themselves ecstatic without knowing why.

The answer?

They live in one of the 10 happiest places in Massachusetts.

The list, compiled by career expert site Zippia, measures happiness by income, education, employment, commute, cost of living, family, home ownership and poverty rate. Based on these factors, Wellesley landed at number 7.

"That’s a ton of fun — and happiness — for the whole family, backed by science. The data all comes from the 2010-2014 American Community Survey," wrote Zippia, which gathered data for 115 places in Massachusetts with more than 2,000 people.

According to Zippia, Wellesley has a population of 28,858, 78 percent own their own home, and 54.6 percent are married.
