Spare Ammo Clip Found in MassBay Auditorium

WELLESLEY, MA – A spare ammunition magazine was found in a locked prop room behind the auditorium on MassBay Community College's Wellesley campus.

MassBay spokesperson Liz Cooper told Patch the clip was for a "small firearm" that belonged to a contract security employee working at the campus on Sunday. Cooper said that individual has been banned from campus.

The clip was found by a professor who had a key to the room, and there was no gun, according to Cooper.

"[The room] is not in a public space," Cooper said. "No students or members of the campus community were ever in danger."
