Wellesley Wine Aficionado Sounds Off on Neighboring Town’s Consideration of Removing ‘Dry’ Status
The Swellesley Report had a special post from Robert Dwyer of Wellesley Wine Press about how changing times could change the status of a historically dry town.

There are no liquor stores in Wellesley. The town has numerous restaurants with bars, but you can’t pick up a 6-pack on your way home from work inside Wellesley’s borders.
The same goes for Needham, but as wine connoisseur Robert Dwyer - who runs his own blog, The Wellesley Wine Press - writes in a Jan. 22 post on The Swellesley Report, that could soon change in Wellesley’s neighbor to the southeast.
Dwyer’s post takes a historic and extremely local look at what it could mean if Wellesley went “wet.”
