Three Arrested Following Wellesley Bank Robbery
Police responded to TD Bank on Washington Street Wednesday afternoon after a bank employee reported the robbery.

WELLESLEY, MA - Three are in custody Wednesday evening in connection with an afternoon robbery at a Wellesley bank.
Wellesley police were called to TD Bank at 380 Washington St. at 12:15 p.m. by a bank employee reporting that a robbery had just occurred.
The suspect was described as a thin male, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a dark colored sweatshirt. Employees told police that he passed a note to a teller, but did not show a weapon. They said they believed he fled on foot with an unspecified amount of cash, according to police.

Officers and detectives from the Wellesley and Needham police departments responded to the area and identified two males on foot who matched the description of the suspect. They were detained while an investigation was conducted and later arrested.
A third suspect was located in a car nearby and taken into custody.

The three individuals arrested were a 23-year-old male, an 18-year-old male and a juvenile. The incident still remains under investigation.
Massachusetts State Police provided K-9 assistance to Wellesley police in searching the area.
