Three Wellesley Schools Listed In Top 100 MA Schools For 2020

The schools made it onto Niche's list of the top 100 schools in the state.

WELLESLEY, MA — Three Wellesley schools made it onto the list of the top 100 schools in Massachusetts. Niche.com released the list that includes both private and public elementary, middle and high schools. The Dana Hall School, Wellesley Senior High School and John D. Hardy Elementary all made the list.

Whether a school finished first or 100th, there's not really a bad spot on the list. They all received A+ grades from Niche.

The Dana Hall School ranked 20th and is a private, boarding, all-girls school. The school has 468 students with a student-teacher ratio of 7 to 1. Dana Hall has a 100 percent graduation rate and an average SAT score of 1330, according to Niche.

The school was highlighted by Niche for several categories including best all-girls schools in the state, best boarding high schools in the state and best college prep private high schools in the state.

According to Niche, 40 percent of students board at the school and 15 percent of students are international. Yearly tuition to the school is $49,900.

Wellesley Senior High School ranked 39th and is a public high school. It has 1,512 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 97 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 99 percent in reading.

The graduation rate for the school is 98 percent with an average SAT score of 1310, according to Niche. The school was highlighted by Niche in several categories including best public high school teachers in the state, best public high schools in the state and best college prep public high schools in the state.

John D. Hardy Elementary ranked 96th and is a public elementary school. It has 308 students in grades K-5 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 77 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 82 percent in reading.
