Town Meeting's Halfway Scorecard

Town Meeting 2012 continues tonight and already over half of the articles have been voted on.

To make matters easy, Town Clerk Kathy Nagle has published a “Town Meeting Scorecard” highlighting the events of the all-important meeting thus far.

The card is a bullet point list of action taken on the first 17 articles of Town Meeting.

Some highlights:

Town Meeting approved a , which will involve establishing a new department to handle upkeep of nearly all town buildings.

The omnibus budget article – No. 8 – was approved with little debate. The town’s budget for fiscal year 2013 ($130,574,194), this includes the use of $2,837,757 from free cash.

Town Meeting resumes tonight at 7:30 p.m., auditorium.
