Traffic Alert: Route 9 Repaving

On Monday Sept. 18 MassDOT will be repaving Route 9 and the work will go into the early hours on Tuesday.

WELLESLEY, MA — Both the east and the westbound sides of Route 9 will be repaved from Kingsbury Street to the Natick line beginning the evening of Sept. 18.

Expect traffic delays and construction zone from 7 p.m. Monday night through 5 a.m. the following morning. The work will start on the westbound side at Kingsbury Street, working westbound, and then transition to the eastbound side from the Natick line, police said.

One lane will be open all times, but be aware of a moving work zone. The MassDOT work is expected to last for two or three weeks. There will also be periodic ramp closures from Route 9 west to Route 16 near the Wellesley Hills library during the evening hours due to ongoing natural gas line replacement work.
