Washburn Ave In Wellesley Closed For Fire Investigation

WELLESLEY, MA — Wellesley officials warned commuters that Washburn Avenue would be closed for most of Thursday morning. Fire crews were back inspecting a home and attached garage that caught fire on Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters quickly had the blaze, which was in the attached garage, under control. There were no injuries.

Officials have not disclosed the cause of the fire or how much damage was caused but the side of the home attached to the garage was charred as well as the front of the garage.
