Watertone at Wellesley Names New Food Service Director
Kevin Shimer named food service director of Watertone at Wellesley

From EPOCH Senior Living: Waterstone at Wellesley, a luxury independent and assisted living community managed by EPOCH Senior Living, has named Kevin Shimer food service director. In this role, Shimer will oversee all dining room operations, create daily menus for residents, mange food ordering, and assist the dining team with cooking and plating.
“Coming to Wellesley allows me to take all of my experience over the course of 40 years in the industry and put it into one basket,” Shimer said. “Working with seniors is a blast. They all have unique stories and different backgrounds.”
With over 40 years of culinary experience, Shimer has served as executive chef for the Massachusetts State House as well as for several gubernatorial campaigns. He spent seven years as chef manager for Wellesley College’s Stone Davis Dining Hall and, prior to Waterstone at Wellesley, spent over a decade with Purple Line Catering.
