Wellesley Bank Names New EVP, Chief Financial Officer

Michael Dvorak takes over for SVP, CFO Gary Culyer, following Culyer's retirement.

Wellesley, MA – Wellesley Bank's new EVP, Chief Financial Officer is now in the driver's seat.

Michael Dvorak began his tenure July 1, taking over for SVP, CFO Gary Culyer after Culyer retired, according to a press release. Dvorak has 30 years of experience in the banking industry, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Finance at State Street.

Prior to his time at State Street, Dvorak was the CFO of both Community Bank and Consumer Bank at Keycorp.

He is an actively involved in the greater Boston community, volunteering and providing funding for Weston Little League, Weston Boosters, Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee, Boston Food Bank, March of Dimes, Arc of Massachusetts and The Salvation Army.

"We are excited to have Michael join our senior leadership team and contribute to Wellesley Bank’s continuing success and expansion," Thomas Fontaine, president and CEO of Wellesley Bank said in the release. "We expect that Michael will utilize his many talents to build upon the strong financial footing that has already been established."
