Wellesley Community Raises $315,000 at St. Jude Fundraiser

From St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: The ninth annual St. Jude Runway to Miracles presented by Prime Motor Group raised $315,000 at the Wellesley Country Club. Bloomingdale’s and Gretta Luxe provided the latest spring fashions for women and children to model while raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®.

More than 350 people attended the event chaired by Dalia Nuwayhid of Wellesley and Kristie Zaccagnino
of Weston and emceed by Susan Wornick. Former broadcast journalist Kelley Tuthill and Sara Underwood
of FOX 25, along with many others, walked in the fashion show alongside their children.

Thanks to generous donors, events like this help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for
treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Other major supporters included JM Electric & Co., the Patel family, Nuwayhid family, Zaccagnino family,
Capintro Partners, CFGI, Inc., and Heather and Rob Shanahan as well as media partner, The Improper
Bostonian.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital treats children from all 50 states, including Massachusetts, and
beyond. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped increase overall childhood cancer survival rates from
20 percent to more than 80 percent since the hospital opened. St. Jude also freely shares its discoveries,
so other doctors and scientists can use that knowledge to save even more children.
