The Board of Selectmen will convene a Special Town Meeting on April 6, 2020, within Annual Town Meeting.
The purpose of the Special Town Meeting is to ask Town Meeting Members to allow the Town to file special legislation to extend the mandatory retirement age for Wellesley’s Assistant Fire Chief.
The Warrant for the Special Town Meeting will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020.

Anyone who would like to have an article included in the Special Town Meeting Warrant must submit a petition signed by not less than one hundred (100) registered Wellesley voters. All petitions must be submitted to the Town Clerk for signature verification.
After signed by the Board of Selectmen, the full text of the Special Town Meeting Warrant will be available in the Selectmen’s Office (525 Washington Street, 3rd Floor) in Wellesley, MA, and on the Town of Wellesley website.
Motions to be offered at the Special Town Meeting must be submitted to the Selectmen’s Office by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2020.
