Wellesley Media Corp. Wins National Video Competition

A video on the Boston Cell Quartet nabbed an award for the community media outlet.

Wellesley Media Corporation recently won first prize in an annual national video competition hosted by the Alliance for Community Media. Local media producers from across the country compete each year by submitting videos that have aired on local access television channels.

The first prize award was in the professional division of the music video category for a video produced by executive director James Joyce on the Boston Cello Quartet.

“It was a great video to shoot,” said Joyce. “I had the privilege of getting a private performance from these talented musicians in a small room at Boston Symphony Hall. Very Cool!!” The video can be viewed on Wellesley Media Corporation’s YouTube page which can be accessed from their website at www.wellesleymedia.org.

Wellesley Media Corporation is a local access organization that provides digital media production classes to Wellesley residents.
