Murphy & King, Professional Corporation announced today that Wellesley resident David L. Evans has been honored by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) as an “Outstanding Director.” Evans, a shareholder at the firm, was recognized for embodying the Association’s values of integrity, conflict management and service while providing inspired leadership to the Association and promoting the responsible use of alternative dispute resolution throughout the world. The AAA presented the award to Evans at a ceremony at Fordham University School of Law on May 7, 2015. He has been a member of the AAA Board of Directors since 2013.

Evans is co-chair of Murphy & King’s Litigation Department. He represents large public corporations, closely held companies and individuals in the resolution of complex business and intellectual property disputes. Evans also maintains an active practice as a certified neutral arbitrator and mediator, serving in more than 350 cases. As a neutral arbitrator, he has presided over a broad range of business disputes involving areas such as intellectual property rights and licenses, finance and accounting, supply agreements, technology development and transfer agreements, stock/asset purchases, energy, biotechnology and medical devices, real estate, and business separations.
Evans is also a member of a number of arbitration panels, including the Commercial and Large Complex Case Panels of the American Arbitration Association, the Panel of Distinguished Neutrals of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), the ICDR Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators, the ICC International Court of Arbitration (North America), the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and the London Court of International Arbitration.
