An online payment system is available through the Town of Wellesley website. Many taxpayers already use this online feature to schedule payment of their bill via an ACH debit (electronic bank-to-bank transfer) from their bank account on the date of their choosing at no charge to the taxpayer. A credit card can also be used but there is a convenience fee of 2.95% assessed to the taxpayer.

Go to www.wellesleyma.gov and click on “Pay a Bill” via the main page. There are step-by-step instructions on how to process your tax payment.

Homeowners may also use their personal bank bill payment system, but please set up a separate Town of Wellesley Real Estate Tax vendor (different than one used for utility bills, excise bills or any other Town bills). This must reference an account number that is the Map/Route number or Parcel ID, shown on your bill. Please note property location in memo field if available.

Tax payments also may be hand-delivered to the ballot and payment drop box in front of Town Hall (Washington Street side entrance). Please use your payment envelope and include the bottom portion of the bill in the envelope with your check. This secure drop-box is checked multiple times a day.

Real estate tax payments are due by February 1, 2021.
