Wellesley School Bus Registration Info

WELLESLEY, MA — The Wellesley Transportation Department announced 2019-2020 school bus registration information for both public and private schools in town.

The registration deadline for student bus service is April 5. All parents with students from kindergarten to sixth grade, who live two-or-more miles from their school do not have to pay a fee for bus transportation, per state law.

The school district said older students and those who live closer to the school are still allowed and encouraged to take the bus, but there is a fee. The registration fee is $521 per student with a family cap of $1,142, which is the same fee as last year. This equals a cost of about $2.89 per day to ride the bus.
