Wellesley South Little League Wins State Championship
Wellesley South will next head to Bristol, CT for the New England Regional Tournament.

WELLESLEY, MA – The Wellesley South Williamsport All-Stars are headed to Bristol, CT to compete for a spot in this year's Little League World Series.
Wellesley earned a trip to the New England Regional Tournament by defeating Pittsfield American 9-3 in the Massachusetts Little League title game on Sunday.
Wellesley South will compete against a state champion from Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine beginning August 7.

Here's how the tournament works:
Maine and Vermont will face off in the first game, followed by a matchup between New Hampshire and Connecticut. Rhode Island will then play the winner of game one and Massachusetts plays the game two winner.

The losing teams of games one and four will play each other, as well as the losing teams of two and three.
Next, the winners of games three and four play each other, the five and six game winners face off, with the winner of the former receiving a bye to the championship. The losing team will play the winner of the second game to determine who else heads to the finals.
The winner will land a spot in the Little League World Series in Williamsport.
