Wellesley's Tom Masiello to Present at RIMS Annual Conference
Benchmark Vice President to Share Secrets for Delivering ROI and Increasing Value with Global Risk Professionals on May 1
Benchmark, a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, today announced that Tom Masiello, vice president of enterprise risk management, has been selected to present at RIMS 2019 Annual Conference & Exhibition, the premier risk management and insurance conference bringing together more than 10,000 global risk professionals.
On May 1, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., Masiello will share secrets for Delivering ROI and Increased Enterprise Value Through Risk Management gained from 30 years of experience with Benchmark, Cumberland Gulf Group Companies, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and AIG. Attendees will learn how to enlist support from upper management, communication techniques to engage the C-suite and using data to demonstrate success.
“Often times, risk managers struggle with how to integrate themselves and their teams into the rest of the organization, which can reduce ROI and impact overall performance,” says Masiello. “My goal is to arm risk professionals of all levels with the tools they need to maximize their performance.”

Masiello is the recent recipient of the Benchmark Darrell Harvey Values Award for 2018 for not only setting a high bar for the company’s values but also raising it. Throughout his six-year tenure at Benchmark, he has used his experience and skills to help every area of Benchmark operate better, including implementing biometric safes for safer medication management, self-lifting toilets that reduce fall risks for residents and back-safety training and standardized hydraulic lifts to help associates stay safe.
He is an AV rated attorney licensed to practice in all Massachusetts state and federal courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.
