Whole Foods Recalls Mislabeled Salad
The company said the salad, distributed to a number of stores across the Northeast, contains an egg allergen.

WELLESLEY, MA - Salads made at a Whole Foods Market center in Massachusetts and sent to several stores across the Northeast are being recalled after they were found to be mislabeled and contain an egg allergen.
According to the Associated Press, the 10-ounce containers of asparagus, pea and ricotta salad are actually filled with miniature asparagus, sun-dried tomato and Swiss frittatas.
The salad can be dangerous to those with egg allergies; consumption of it can result in a serious or possibly life-threatening reaction.

So far no illnesses have been reported due to the salad, which was sold on April 10.
They were purchased in Wellesley, Dedham, Hingham, Wayland and the Prospect Street and Fresh Pond stores in Cambridge, as well as in towns in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey.

Whole Foods will refund customers who purchased the salad once it is returned.
