WHS Ranked Among Top Schools By Newsweek

Magazine ranked school at 987 out of 1,600.

Newsweek has ranked Wellesley High School among the top schools in the nation, listing it as 987 out of 1,600 schools assessed by the magazine.

Each year, the magazine's report on the listing states, they pick schools according to how hard the staffs work to challenge students with advanced-level courses and tests, and this year, 1,600 schools, only 6 percent, made the cut.

"That's really exciting," said School Committee Chair Ilissa Povich. She said she feels the school does perform on a high level, and that it was good to see Wellesley High recognized for their hard work.
