The town of Wellesley has been in the spotlight lately, recently named one of the top places to live in the Greater Boston area by The Boston Globe. If you’re looking to buy or sell, consider this booming Metro-West town. It’s proven to be a great investment.

Settled in 1650, Wellesley has become one of Boston’s most prestigious and scenic suburbs. Now in 2017, about six years after house prices started to climb following the Great Recession, the market looks great, and there is a lot to love about Wellesley!

The first thing to love about Wellesley is its location. The town is only 12 miles, or about 30 minutes, from Boston, making work commutes fairly easy to endure. There are several MBTA commuter rail stops, as well, so travel into the city is even easier on busy days. The same goes for its proximity to great hospitals, schools, restaurants and more. A family day or a night out with friends in town is easy and accessible.

This picture-perfect suburb is full of tight-knit neighborhoods, and residents routinely get involved together in different events and activities.
Lastly, one of the greatest things to love about Wellesley is its safety. The overall crime rate ranks among the lowest in the state of Massachusetts, as well as nationally, making it a wonderful place to live on your own, to raise a family, or spend your retirement.

Because of all these amazing attributes, it’s not always easy to find a starter home in Wellesley, but they do exist.
