• New England Aquarium returns four rehabilitated sea turtles to the ocean in fifth beach release of the season (hollistonreporter.com) — Wellfleet gets a special mention in the New England Aquarium’s latest sea turtle release, as one of the four rehabilitated Kemp’s ridleys originally stranded on a Wellfleet beach last December. Rescued by Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and treated in Quincy, the turtles have now been returned to Nantucket Sound, with two carrying tracking tags to support ongoing conservation research.
