5 Black Friday Deals in Westborough

Westborough shop owners hope to get a piece of the shopping action on Black Friday, traditionally the biggest holiday shopping day. Though for small retailers, the day seems geared more to the larger retail chains.

“Traditionally, Black Friday is not a huge day for us,” said Charlie Napolean, general manager of on Lyman Street. “Our big day is usually the Saturday before Christmas.”

Nevertheless, the lures are in place to keep shoppers in town. Whether a retail chain or a small business, Westborough stores have deals. Here are 5 that we found in for Friday, Nov. 25.

1. is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Owner Chris Walsh said that there are specials on a variety of items throughout the store. He mentioned that all board games will be 15 percent off.

2. will open at 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, offering a variety of deals throughout the store, said Fran Higgins, general manager of the Westborough location. She suggested checking the large selection of ladies’ watches offered at $12.99. “We have a lot of half-off clearance deals, too. And there is a great deal for a 4-piece luggage set for only $69,” she said.

3. will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering 25 percent off of all sweaters. “That includes sale prices, so there are some good deals to be found,” said Heather Vicidominico, floor supervisor. “We are also a participating vendor for the American Express cardholder promotion, and that can mean a $25 credit for shoppers.” Details are available at the store.

4. will open at 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. Donna, an associate at the store, said there are too many deals to mention. She suggested checking out the website at www.millstores.com., which we did. There are a number of printable Black Friday coupons available on the website.

5. is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Manager Andrea Cote said there is a special Black Friday deal on apparel. "By any one item and get the second item - of equal or lesser price - at half off."
