5 Things You Need to Know Today: Aug. 24

Each morning, Westborough Patch presents "5 Things You Need to Know," a collection of announcements, events and reminders to help you organize your day.

2. Is there a musician in the house? Registration now for private music instruction at both Mill Pond School and the l. Lessons are offered for students in grades 3-12. To register, go to the Westborough Community Education Department website and follow the prompts or download the registration forms and mail them to the Community Education Department at 90 West Main Street.

3. Freshman orientation will take place at the from 12:00p.m. - 3:00p.m. Also, it is Mill Pond Open Door Day from 9am - 12:00 pm. Take this opportunity to meet your teachers and take a look around!

4. According to the Weather Channel, there will be a high weed pollen count in the forecast. Weed pollens include, but are not limited to, ragweed, sagebrush, nettle and hemps. The number one cause of hay fever is ragweed.
