WESTBOROUGH, MA — A popular Marlborough restaurant known for its comfort food and craft cocktails is expanding with a second location in Westborough.
Chill Kitchen & Bar is opening at 32 Lyman St. in the Westborough Shopping Center. Its owners, John and Coleen Logomasini, have operated the first location in Marlborough since 2016.
The restaurant's general manager told Patch that it plans to open the Westborough location in April.
The eatery is a modern American restaurant focused on fresh ingredients, comfort dishes and an extensive beverage program including local craft beer and cocktails, according to its website.
The concept centers on “clean and fresh ingredients, mouthwatering recipes, lively cocktail menu, excellent wine list, and wide assortment of local craft beers,” with a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere.
Business owners approached the Westborough Select Board in July last year to request the proper licenses to operate a full-service dining-and-bar concept at the site, and the request was unanimously approved. The business outlined plans for a casual, family-run restaurant offering comfort food alongside craft cocktails, with seating, bar service and a private dining area at the new location, according to the June meeting minutes.
The new restaurant space is part of the Westborough Shopping Center at Lyman Street, which is also home to Stop & Shop, Staples and Julio's Liquors, among other businesses.
