WESTBOROUGH, MA — A section of West Street will remain under repair for several weeks after a major water main break compromised the roadway near 15 West St.
The break was reported Sunday in the area of 15 West St., leading police to close West Street between West Main Street and Heath Street. Residents in the area were told they could experience low or no water pressure while the Department of Public Works worked to resolve the issue.
The DPW said Monday it is preparing the roadway for repaving after the break.
The affected section will be put in asphalt binder Tuesday, July 14, and will remain that way for two to three weeks to allow the roadway to settle, according to the town.
After that settling period, crews will install a final topcoat.
