1 Hospitalized After Crash In Westborough

WESTBOROUGH, MA — One person was hospitalized after a serious crash along Route 9 westbound in Westborough.

Westborough firefighters said crews were working a serious crash with ejection in the area of 30 Turnpike Rd. at around 8 p.m. on Thursday. One Level 1 trauma patient was transported to UMass, according to the fire department.

Westborough police said officers were investigating a serious vehicle crash on westbound Route 9 near Computer Drive. The ramps from Computer Drive to Route 9 westbound were closed and Route 9 westbound in the area was reduced to one lane, according to police.

Officials did not immediately release additional details about the cause of the crash or how long the lane and ramp closures were expected to last.
