WESTBOROUGH, MA — Mosquito control crews are expected to be in Westborough several days in August to respond to resident concerns.
The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project has scheduled service in town on Aug. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27, according to a notice sent to the Westborough Board of Health.
The dates are tentative and may change due to weather, mosquito populations, mosquito virus activity or special event spraying, according to the notice. The program will stop for the season when cool nighttime temperatures become predominant in the area.
Residents may request service by calling the CMMCP office at (508) 393-3055 between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or by visiting cmmcp.org.
Service requests may lead to mosquito insecticide applications in defined, site-specific areas of town. Applications may be done using truck-mounted equipment, depending on the extent of the application, according to CMMCP.
More information about the spray schedule and no-spray options is available here.
