Beloved Westborough Ice Cream Shop Hosting Sought-After BBQ Truck

The two will pair up for a special Food Truck Friday event later this month.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A beloved ice cream destination in Westborough is bringing one of Central Massachusetts’ most sought-after food trucks to town this spring.

Uhlman’s Ice Cream announced it will host Morawski Barbecue for a special Food Truck Friday event on May 15 at its East Main Street shop.

“If you know, you know — they’re one of the hardest food trucks to book, and we are beyond excited to have them with us for one special day this season,” Uhlman’s wrote in announcing the event.

Morawski Barbecue will serve its Texas-style barbecue from noon to 7:30 p.m., pairing smoked meats and classic barbecue dishes with Uhlman’s extensive lineup of frozen treats.

Based in Rutland, Morawski Barbecue has built a following across Central Massachusetts for its authentic Texas-style barbecue offerings.

Uhlman’s Ice Cream, located at 232 E. Main St., has been a staple in Westborough since opening in 1967. The shop is known for its wide variety of frozen desserts, including soft-serve ice cream, fat-free soft and hard yogurt, and more than 70 ice cream flavors.

The menu also features frozen lemonade, frozen lime rickeys, old-fashioned ice cream sodas, floats, dairy-free options and allergy-friendly treats.

The shop also announced that the local Mexican restaurant Tacoborough will make appearances at Uhlman's throughout the summer on May 22, June 12, July 10 and Aug. 14.
