The Congregational Church of Westborough and the American Red Cross are teaming up to host a second blood drive in honor of Corinne Sciarappa on Saturday, September 12 from 10 am – 4 pm. We want to thank everyone who supported the blood drive in May. Since the May blood drive, Corinne has received a total of 9 unit of blood and 8 units of platelets as part of her cancer treatment. Pauline Sciarappa says, “To our family it was particularly uplifting to see such a phenomenal turn out for the drive in May because a blood donation can help so many people, not just our Corinne. Each day when we are in the Jimmy Fund Clinic or Children’s Hospital we encounter many other children who are also getting transfusions regularly.”
Appointments are preferred. To schedule your appointment, please visitredcrossblood.org (sponsor code Corinne) or call 1-800-RedCross.
If you would like to help out at the drive, please emailanitalawler@verizon.net. Donations of baked goods would also be appreciated!
