A Conversation on the Muslim Issue
Topics to be covered include recent anti-Muslim, anti-immigration, and anti-minority rhetoric and its effect.
The community is invited by the Westborough Democratic Committee to join in a “A Conversation on the Muslim Issue”. Topics that are planned to be covered include recent anti-Muslim, anti-immigration, and anti-minority rhetoric and its effect. Nazda Alam will be leading the discussion.
Ms. Alam serves as the Chair of the Muslim Voter Registration Project and works to increase civic and electoral participation among Muslim and immigrant communities. Congresswoman Katherine Clark recently recognized Ms. Alam’s efforts by inviting her to be her guest at the State of the Union address in Washington, DC. Ms. Alam is a Muslim-American community organizer who was born in Bangladesh and immigrated to the United States in 1982.
The discussion will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 7:00 pm at the meeting room in Tatnuck Booksellers, 18 Lyman Street, Westborough. Please join us in this polite conversation.
