Coronavirus: Westborough Court Hearings Suspended

Courthouses will be closed to the public except to conduct emergency hearings that cannot be resolved through a videoconference.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough District Court is one of several courts across the Commonwealth closing its doors to non-emergency hearings as a precaution against the new coronavirus. The closures started Wednesday and will last until at least April 6.

According to officials, courthouses will be closed to the public except to conduct emergency hearings that cannot be resolved through a videoconference or telephonic hearing. Clerk's offices shall remain open to the public to accept pleadings and other documents in emergency matters only.

People posting bail for someone in custody will still be able to enter the courthouse and pay the bail. Anyone who has to pay fees, fines, or court costs, including probation supervision fees, in a criminal matter that are due between March 18 and May 1, can pay their fee or fine online through the e-pay portal.
