Relive the emotions of battle, acts of bravery, and daily camp life of Fifteenth Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, as vividly told by Civil War re-enactor Paul Lambert of Leominster. You will learn not only about a Union soldier’s equipment, weapons, background, and regimental colors but also about the thrill of turning back history when recreating the Civil War experience. The talk also explores how local history was affected by regional tensions and political actions of abolitionists and anti-slavery societies. This program is one of a series by the Westborough Historical Society commemorating the 150th anniversary of the onset of the Civil War.
