Playaway Day at the Library

The Westborough Public Library is excited to be hosting a Playaway Day on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. We will have a Playaway representative with us from 3 to 7 p.m. The rep will be available to provide Playaway tutorials, explain how to request and check out Playaway titles and talk about some of the great new content coming out on this cool new format.  Come early for great patron giveaways!

Not familiar with Playaway? There has never been a better time to check out this all-in-one audiobook format.  Each ultra-portable Playaway weighs only two ounces and comes pre-loaded in HD audio with an entire audiobook.  Equipped with a universal jack, Playaway can be listened to through earbuds, headphones and mobile accessories, such as car adapters.  Playaway provides the accessibility and portability to listen to your favorite audiobook wherever you are.  The library carries a variety of titles on Playaway, including bestselling adult fiction, nonfiction, language learning and classics.

Come and find out about Playaways and then stay for the author program: Mitchell Zuckoff’s discussion of his new book, “Lost in Shangri-La” at 7 p.m.  Both of these programs are part of the library’s Adult Summer Reading Program, Novel Destinations.  Novel Destinations is sponsored by the Westborough Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.  For more information, please call the library at 508-366-3050.
