Why Go:  Sponsored by the , this chocolate spectacular is sure to tickle your taste buds. Indulge in an all-you-can-eat chocolate buffet which includes a variety of locally made chocolate concoctions, baked items and a chocolate fountain. Wine is also available. In addition, there will be a silent auction with items including gift baskets, grocery and retail gift certificates, and restaurant gift cards. Fundraising efforts will help support the and the new Northborough Senior Center at 119 Bearfoot Rd. Snow date will be Sunday, Feb. 13.

Why Go: Cantor, composer and comedian Jeff Klepper shares his unique perspective on the role of Jews in rock. Using rare video footage, Jeff scratches beneath the surface in search of the great Jewish stories of rock & roll. For baby boomers, it’s a nostalgia fest. For college kids and teens, it’s an education, a veritable “Shul of Rock.”

Why Go: The Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library Present The Second Annual Foreign Film Festival Sunday Afternoons in February. On Feb. 13, the festival features Tsotsi, rated R. A South African film made in 2004, the story features a young steely eyed, amoral hoodlum in Johannesburg. He shoots a woman, steals her car and then discovers her baby in the back seat. See how a hardened criminal gets in touch with his own humanity. Winner of Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. 94 min. Popcorn provided, bring your own beverage.

When: Sunday, Feb. 13, 2 to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Artists Carolann Tebbets and Holly Kenny will be at the opening reception for their exhibit Fiber/Glass: Decorative and Wearable Arts Show which runs through May 8. The reception is open to the public, and refreshments, wine and hors d’ oeuvres will be served.
