Why do you want the position?
I have always been involved in community organizations. I really enjoyed my time as a selectman. I believe my private, public, and military experience will be valuable as we face major challenges to maintain our current excellent level of services and control increases in property taxes.
What do you feel are the biggest issues facing the Board of Selectmen?
Controlling spending while maintaining a high level of services. Promoting economic development that will provide tax relief and create jobs. Controlling our expenses will also allow our senior citizens to stay in their homes. Having town boards and departments establish long term budgets and goals.
How do you plan to affect change?
Using my experience to understand the issues and making sound decisions, even if not always popular. An important factor in making decisions will be to listen to citizens. They have good ideas and are the people that make Westborough a great community to live and raise a family.
Fun Fact About You: Most people who know me are surprised to know that in the 60's I had long hair and played guitar (Fender) in a "ROCK & ROLL" band.
