Gerardo's Makes Way for a New Building

, at the junction of Route 9 and Milk Street, is undergoing a renovation.

“This past week, the red house that's been next door to our bakery finally came down - after 70 years - to make room for the construction of our brand new bakery which will be up and running early 2012,” said Angela Fahey, manager of the bakery.

Fahey said the business will remain open during the construction. When the new building is completed, the bakery will move into it and the remaining building will be demolished, she said.
