Girl Scouts: Textile Recycling Sat 3/28

9am to 2pm at Westborough High School, 90 W. Main Street

Girl Scout Troop 30555, in partnership with Bag2School, will hold a textile recycling fundraiser from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Westborough High School at 90 W. Main St.. The troop is in its final stretch of fundraising for an adventure/service project trip to Costa Rica in August 2015. The girls will be collecting unwanted textiles which includes adult and children’s clothing, shoes and boots (tied together if possible), hats, belts, purses, backpacks, blankets, tablecloths, towels, pillows, and stuffed animals. We accept all clean and dry items, even with rips, tears, and stains. Please, no wet, moldy, or mildewed items. Items that cannot be reused or worn will be shredded and recycled for use in insulation, carpet backing, etc. To donate, drive into the high school off of West Main St and proceed to the circle drive in front of the main door. Girl Scouts will be there to collect donations. More information is available on Facebook at R3: Reduce, Reuse, ReFoamIt. For questions, contact Julie Baldwin at juliebaldwin@verizon.net.
