Hot Summer Nights Kicks Off with Ice Cream Social

The 2011 Hot Summer Nights (HSN) Program will kickoff with the Free Ice Cream Chill Out for kids in grades 6 through 10. The gathering will take place outside the Forbes Muncipal Building, 45 West Main St., on Tuesday, June 21 from 11 to 12:30 p.m. At the same time, the will be holding a teen summer reading book giveaway. 

HSN is presented by and provides a number of activities throughout the summer for town teens. Among the upcoming events is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Thursday, June 23, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The tournament is free, and registration is required. During the summer, the program will present extreme bowling, an origami class and trips to Six Flags and Hampton Beach.
