Located on Route 9 in Westborough, The Green Thumb has something for everyone. Originally founded as a greenhouse in 1950, the location has undergone numerous renovations making it the family fun destination it is today. From a petting zoo to an 18-hole miniature golf course to kids play land, the entire family will be entertained.

Harvey’s Farm and Garden Center, 120 South St.

in the heart of Westborough boasts 40 acres of family fun. Founded in 1975, this sixth-generation farm showcases acres of lush gardens overflowing with organically grown produce. Throughout the summer families are invited to enjoy the sweet fruits, to “Pick Your Own” blueberries, pears and raspberries.

A highlight for children visiting Harvey’s is going to see the barnyard animals just on the other side of Luta’s rickety, crooked, covered bridge. Here, patrons are greeted by a large pig, goats, a turkey and miscellaneous ducks and fish swimming in the pond. A quick visit to Emily’s Gift Barn for a $1 bag of animal food and these tenacious animals may just become your best friends!

Back at the barn, country gifts and knick knacks abound and model trains zip around the track which is perched above customers’ heads. There are gifts for the lawn and garden, jellies and jams for the kitchen, bird feeders to please our feathered friends and even a section for the kids—to name just a few of the treasures one might find.
