Koopman Acquires Westboro Paint & Decorating

Whitinsville-based Koopman Lumber & Hardware has announced the acquisition of on East Main Street. The store will continue in the current location, with a new identity: Koopman Paint. 

The new Westborough location joins four other Koopman paint stores in North Grafton, Whitinsville, Uxbridge and Milford. 

Koopman acquired Westboro Paint & Decorating last week, according to Koopman Marketing Manager Jim Malo.

The new store will feature a complete line-up of Benjamin Moore paints, stains and coatings, along with a full complement of tools, brushes and rollers used by both professional painting contractors and do-it-yourself customers. The store is open and ready for business. 

Curving, who founded Westboro Paint & Decorating in 1997, has built a strong business providing outstanding service to the community. 

Koopman’s is a family-owned and run business that began in 1939. The newest location affords even greater service and flexibility to contractors doing business in central Massachusetts. In addition to the paint stores, Koopman’s operates three full drive-through lumber yards and fully stocked hardware stores. Job site deliveries are coordinated through a state-of-the-art distribution center in Uxbridge.

As part of the transition, the full Benjamin Moore portfolio will be stocked in Westborough.
