Local Girl Scout Organizes Free Teen Theater Program
Registration is underway for a free theater program for students in grades 6 through 8.

A free theater program is being offered during April school vacation week for students in grades 6 through 8. The Theatre for Teens program will run from April 18 to 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration deadline is April 1.
The program is the brainchild of Amanda Borglund, a senior and Girl Scout. She designed the program as part of her Gold Award, the highest award given through the Girl Scouts. Only 5 percent of the eligible girls receive the award.
Students participating in the theater program will learn about both acting and the technical aspects of performing. Following the program, on April 22 at 4 p.m., participating students will perform. The final performance will be free, but only 60 tickets will be available.
