Players' Club Prepares for Spring Show

Auditions are scheduled for 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.'

The Westborough Players Club celebrates its 75th season with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, directed by Donna Wresinski with musical direction by Eric Brown and choreography by Teri Shea.

Auditions will be held on Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m. and Feb. 11 at 12:30 p.m. at the Westborough Players' headquarters, 20 Phillips St. To audition, actors should prepare a song from Joseph. An accompanist will be provided. A short choreography routine will be taught at the audition. Participants are asked to dress comfortably.

Rehearsals will begin on Feb. 12 and will be Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m. and Sunday afternoons/evenings. Performances will be April 27, 28 and May 4, 5 at 7:30 p.m. and April 29 and May 6 at 2 p.m. at .

In conjunction with the production, the Players’ Club is offering the 75th Anniversary Youth Workshop, limited to 50 students in grades 4 to 6. Participants will attend eight Saturday workshops from February to April during which they will learn the music to the children’s choir of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and participate in acting and choreography sessions. The workshop, conducted by professional music and theater educators, will culminate in the performance of Joseph. Tuition is $75.
